Hilary Swank has signed on to the new film, P.S. I Love You for Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment.

Richard LaGravenese is directing the film, which is an adaptation of the bestselling Cecilia Ahern novel, written by Steve Rodgers. Variety says the film is about a widow whose life is rejuvenated when letters left by her husband send her on a series of adventures.

P.S. I Love You is a reunion for Swank and LaGravenese who worked together on the upcoming Freedom Writers for Paramount; that's set for a January, 2007 release.

P.S. I Love You will begin production this fall in New York and Ireland; it has a 2008 release date.
