Ryan Reynolds is eyed for the Highlander reboot
It is unclear at this time if an actual offer has been made, but the actor is reportedly in talks for this Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directed fantasy adventure that follows an immortal Scottish swordsman who must sever the head of a brutal barbarian in order to become the last of his kind.
Ryan Reynolds is not a lock for this reboot, as it is just one of many projects the actor is currently considering.
Highlander comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Ryan Reynolds. The film is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

Once again Ryan is going down hill. Though I don't blame him, it's his agent and the studio that's pushing him to do this.
Some films are not meant to be remade and this is one of them.

I like Ryan Reynolds a lot but I think for his career, he should stay away from this and wait for something more interesting. He's gained a certain level of popularity, and although Green Lantern didn't get too warm a reaction from audiences, he was in Safe House after that so that puts him in a nice spot right now where he needs to choose his next role carefully, make sure it's something interesting and not a lousy unoriginal blockbuster or people will lose interest in him. I didn't read the script but knowing Hollywood I think he should really pass and wait for something that people will actually respect.

the first few films were good but not excellent.
If Ryan wants to do something tough guyish, then remake that film that Mark Hamill did, sounds like the TV show that Richard Dean Anderson did during the 80's.
