High School Musical 3 Sings to the Top of the DVD Sales Charts

High School Musical 3: Senior YearThose Disney high-schoolers just can't be stopped on DVD. According to The Hollywood Reporter, High School Musical 3: Senior Year topped the national DVD sales charts in its debut week, for the week ending February 15.

The Disney disc held off a number of contenders in their first week of release as well. Body of Lies debuted in third place on the sales charts while the drama Changeling followed in fourth place and the horror film Quarantine right behind in fifth place.

Body of Lies did triumph with the top spot on the rental charts, though, with Changeling taking second place in rentals and Quarantine in fourth behind last week's top rental, Nights in Rodanthe. High School Musical 3: Senior Year didn't fare so well here, taking 17th place in rentals.

Body of Lies took the Blu-ray sales charts crown as well, with High School Musical 3: Senior Year in second place on BD and Quarantine in third place.

    well truth be told man, there's secretly a large demographic of adults who like these movies
    people who are around 15+older just make fun of the younger kids for liking HSM b/c they have nothing better to do
    heck, most of the cast are in their late 20's finishing this last one

    Aside from Vamp... how old are you guys? Buying a thing like this. It's ok for little kids, which maybe you are, but I'd say anyone over 13 shouldn't be watching stuff like this, unless you're like Vamp and likes all kinds of movies. But I don't know you guys, so this isn't an insult, I'm just saying...

    and as far as this goes, it's not surprising, but it is unfortunate.
