Conan looks to be on it's way in 2009 and will be based on Robert E. Howard's mythical story Conan the Barbarian, from which the 1982 Arnold Schwarzenegger film is loosely based.

Game also hits in 2009 and stars Gerard Butler, Kyra Sedgwick and Michael C. Hall. The high-concept thriller takes place in the near future, when mind-control technology has taken society by storm. In this dystopian world, the ultimate online simulation environment is humans remote-controlling other humans in mass-scale, multiplayer online gaming.
Conan the Barbarian was released August 19th, 2011 and stars Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Steven O'Donnell. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel.
Gamer was released September 4th, 2009 and stars Gerard Butler, Amber Valletta, Michael C. Hall, Kyra Sedgwick, Logan Lerman, Alison Lohman, Terry Crews, Ramsey Moore. The film is directed by Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor.

Never heard about that rumor of The Rock being Conan. He's too thin for it now. Plus they would have been comparing his role as Conan to The Scorpion King. They should cast some unknown. I've seen the trailer for the game. Can't wait to play it.

Maybe just maybe the writers actually read one of Robert E. Howard's books. If they did it could be sick! Would love to see a gray ape on screen or the Elephant God from the original books.
