NBC cancels Heroes movie
We reported back in June that Heroes creator Tim Kring had pitched a TV final to NBC. Now it seems that the network has shot down the proposed telefilm. NBC wouldn't comment for the site's article.
Our report from June indicated that the proposed TV movie would have taken place a year after the series finale, and that it would have revolved around the aftermath of Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) spoiler-heavy revelation. The entire cast of the series was said to be "eager to participate" at the time.
It was also said, however, that Tim Kring could wrap up the series in other ways, via the web or possibly a comic book series. We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on any new Heroes project as soon as more information is available.

I did think Season 4 was pretty good after how bad Seasons 2 and 3 were, and while it definitely felt like a cancellation there was enough closure to me in the finale that I don't feel like an "ending" was required.

This Sucks, ive bin waitin ages for some news on how they plan on wraping it up ... i really can believe there jus gonna leave it as is, a 2hr wrap up special wud have sold like crazy on Blu-Ray :o/ .... NBC what the F**k your just as bad MGM at least they can blame it on there $$$$ problem

I hate this news, way to go NBC! This series was so much fun and they ruined it. I hope they can get some kind of wrap up film done, even if I have to go to the theater and see it. The series deserves to be finished properly for sure!

The only sister network I can think of that could make this happen is USA network but I doubt they do it and if every fan will rewatch it on G4tv Sept.20th, just maybe the network Gods would do the same thing they did for futurama, family guy, scurbs, southland, and what other show that was canceled and brought back to life by other networks.

This show was one of The Mime's favorite shows to watch NBC. It was this one and Prison Break. But the show just fell and now The Mime can still watch it but still it needs more bang. Like what they did to the first season, which was awesome, that's what's missing. Damn it, it's a great show and idea, just didn't end up in the right hands. Sorry if The Mime offended anyone, He's just speaking his mind.

I am never watching anything on nbc ever again,this is bullsh*t ,they should of ended it they left the fans hanging this will hurt sales on blu ray and dvd for season four,I was waiting to buy season 4 till I heard if they where going to wrap it up or leave us hanging.Will now they should do a movie.the fans will come,they make all this other crap like remaking 80's classic's and rebooting the comic book movies,they could spend the money and end it right.ya don't I wish,they're to dumb,to know when they could have a good thing.

Heroes did end up sucking, yeah, but what really sucks is it had so much potential to be awesome, and it turned out pretty bad. First season was amazing though.
