Nancy Sanders ("Huff") and Mark Armstrong ("Holla If You Hear Me") are co-executive producers. The production team includes three-time Academy Award-winning editor Walter Murch ("The English Patient," "Apocalypse Now"), director of photography Rogier Stoffers ("Quills," "John Q"), Academy Award-nominated production designer Geoffrey Kirkland ("The Right Stuff," "Get Low") and Academy Award-nominated costume designer Ruth Myers ("Emma," "L.A. Various locations in and around San Francisco will be used to represent Key West, Spain, China, Cuba and New York.
Scheduled to debut on HBO in 2012, Hemingway & Gellhorn recounts the tumultuous romance and subsequent marriage of literary master Ernest Hemingway (Clive Owen) and up-and-coming war correspondent Martha Gellhorn (Nicole Kidman), following them through the Spanish Civil War and beyond. As she grew in reputation and stature, Gellhorn stood toe-to-toe with Hemingway, putting his famous bravado and iconic style to the test.
Hemingway & Gellhorn was released in 2012 and stars Nicole Kidman, Clive Owen, Rodrigo Santoro, Tony Shalhoub, David Strathairn, Molly Parker, Patrick Mapel, Santiago Cabrera. The film is directed by Philip Kaufman.
