Helen Mirren, Andy Serkis, Rafi Gavron and Sienna Guillory Join Inkheart
They join star Brendan Fraser, Paul Bettany and Jim Broadbent in the tale of a father who brings characters from books to life by reading stories aloud to his daughter. According to Variety, Mirren will portray the book collector Elinor Loredan while Serkis will play the villain Capricorn.
It's the first in Cornelia Funke's trilogy of books; Iain Softley is directing Inkheart from a screenplay by David Lindsay-Abaire. Production begins next month in Italy and then shifts to London.
Inkheart was released January 23rd, 2009 and stars Brendan Fraser, Sienna Guillory, Eliza Bennett, Richard Strange, Paul Bettany, Helen Mirren, Matt King, Steve Speirs. The film is directed by Iain Softley.
