Hayden Christensen Interested in a Jumper Sequel

Hayden Christensen is ready to take the leap for a sequel to his most recent film. According to the Toronto Sun, Christensen revealed that there are talks swirling about a sequel to his sci-fi action flick, Jumper.

"We're talking about it," said Christensen. He also added, "I know that they're having those conversations, I hear about them." When asked if he would indeed reprise his role, he offered, "Oh yeah, and I think I probably will."

He also said that the film was originally set to be a trilogy, based off Steven Gould's novel, but director Doug Liman went in another direction than the books.

"It was set up to become that -- a trilogy -- if it did well," says Christensen. "And I think they're happy with how it did so they want to make another one. But I don't think they're rushing to get into production."

Jumper hops up to DVD and Blu-Ray on June 10.

Jumper was released February 14th, 2008 and stars Hayden Christensen, Jamie Bell, Rachel Bilson, Diane Lane, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Rooker, AnnaSophia Robb, Max Thieriot. The film is directed by Doug Liman.

    You would think "Jumper", directed by Doug Liman who did "The Bourne Identity" would have made a really good film...instead it was just a boring joke!!

    I didn't have high hopes.. but I actually thought the first was kinda cool.... I'd go see a second one!!

    But only if Diane Lane comes back.... Always though she was hot (maybe in a mom sort of way.... Ewwwwww)

    So basically it wa a bomb in the US, but over-seas it did better...Hmmmmm!?

    "Jumper" Okay, so what was the point? Aside from some good special effects, what else was there to this movie? Was there a plot? NO. Was there decent acting and action scenes? NO. This film had SO MUCH potential!

    The film was targeted at an audience of both males and females below the age of 25....mabey that is why it did so well! Anyone below the age of 25 doesn't really concern it self with a decent plot or mind plot holes or bad acting!!!

    The film may of been a hit over-seas...but the film received widespread criticism and poor reviews from critics.

    I wonder if the sequal will be anything like the book...
    ...because the first one had nothing to do with the book. Not that it wasn't a good film because in my opinion it was great, just nothing like the book. The book story lines were a little better to me though.

    WHY!??! "Jumper" was dull and boring and very ...very forgettable once you left the theater!!!! If I'm correct "Jumper" bombed at the box office...it only lasted in theaters less than 3 weeks!
