The David Yates film easily outsold its nearest competitor, Michael Mann's Public Enemies, which finished in a distant second place on the sales charts, with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince outselling Public Enemies by a massive four-to-one margin. Public Enemies did manage to secure a win on the rental charts, with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince taking in about 74% as much rental revenue as this week's winner. The only other notable new release was Julie & Julia, which finished in third place in DVD sales and fourth place in rentals.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince scored another victory on the Blu-ray sales charts, with 24% of the total sales coming in the BD format. Public Enemies came in second place on the BD sales charts, but sold an impressive 30 percent of its units in the 1080p format.

I saw "Public Enemies" in theater... I wasn't impressed!! It lacks the cinematic gravitas to stand alongside classic gangster epics like 'Bonnie and Clyde' and 'The Untouchables.'
If Martin Scorsese was allowad to direct "Public Enemies" ..It could have been so much better!
"Public Enemies" was a true let down ..The book was better!

I rented "Julie & Julia," for $1.00 from Redbox... Not a film I would have paid for in theater .. Good story ..Great performance from both Streep as Julia Child, and Amy Adams!! Stanley Tucci shines!
Well worth If it weren't for the sheer brilliance of Streep and on-screen husband Stanley Tucci, this would be an easy skip.
I gave it a C- A little long ..but good story!
