Here's a taste of what Warner Bros. showed at the Las Vegas convention
The ShoWest convention in Las Vegas wrapped up tonight but not before Warner Bros. showed off its final installment of an incredibly popular franchise. CinemaBlend attended the Warner Bros. presentation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which is set for release on November 19. Here's an excerpt of the site's article, describing the footage they were shown.

The footage shown came from all sections of The Deathly Hallows, so it's impossible to tell where they will split up the two movies. We saw little bits of everything, from the seven Harry Potters escaping from the Dursleys house (totally surreal) to the attack at Bill and Fleur's wedding to the escape from Gringotts on the pale dragon and even Hogwarts on fire. With unfinished effects it's hard to really say how it all looks, though some of the most effective moments were the simplest-- Ron and Harry's fight in the tent, Harry visiting his parents' graves, running away from the Snatchers in the woods, Harry defiantly telling Voldemort that he stays alive "because I have something worth fighting for."

The site also noted that the footage was still rather rough, with unfinished visual effects that have to be finished before the film's fall release.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Ralph Fiennes, Bill Nighy, John Hurt, Rhys Ifans, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Imelda Staunton, Jason Isaacs, Miranda Richardson, Warwick Davis, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Brendan Gleeson, Ciaran Hinds, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Julie Walters, Tom Felton, Bonnie Wright, Jamie Campbell Bower, Richard Griffiths, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Fiona Shaw, Helen McCrory, David O'Hara, Natalia Tena and will be released in theaters nationwide on November 19.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 was released November 19th, 2010 and stars Bill Nighy, Emma Watson, Richard Griffiths, Harry Melling, Daniel Radcliffe, Julie Walters, Bonnie Wright, Rupert Grint. The film is directed by David Yates.

The Order of the Phoenix was mostly on another story, they left out the entire book except for a few scenes. As much fun as it was, it was a bit stale, a good chunk of the book was about the Order.

Look how Eragon played out, it was okay but not as successful as it should have been. Stale acting, bad script but the dragon was worth it. It should redone and have the right feel to it.

Regarding Potter again this nearly last film should be worth watching.

If you concider that the books was wrote to be in a persons life for 7 years and more. The First being wrote with main character as 11, that alone shows that the writer was directing them to a youth reader. But as the character grew, so did the readers. That allowed more and more content to be able to be done that some could say is to old for a 11 yr old to be reading about. There was alot left out of the books that was not on film. But that is said alot about how a book can be put to screen. Would it be nice to put it all, yes. But it can not be pratical at most times. Looke at LOTR's. In my opnion, the best book to film conversion of a action adventure of mystical lines ever. But still had things left out, or changed to make the film more flowing to tell the story. I think most writers of books that are made to movies are happy with how it was done, but not all of them.

I've read and watched all of the films, and as an author myself I understand how JK Rowling feels.

You know, when Harry Potter first started, I'll admit I thought it was crap. But over the years, seeing how the story progressed, it actually became more and more respectable. I'm at a point now where I still don't care for it, but I do respect it and the author.
