  28. Ghostman

@slysnide That gives them nearly 50 days to buy Deathly Hallows Part 2 :/ Plus, Warner Bros. have already sold over 2 million DVD/blu-ray copies of the previous films as well. And, I've been noticing it's harder to find these movies in stores now: all they sell are just the 1-disc DVD's thank god i bought Yrs. 1,2, and 5 on 2-disc DVD through Amazon before they were discontinued in stores!

"New shipments of all eight Harry Potter films on Blu-ray and DVD will cease on December 29, 2011."

That definitely takes the cake as the worst cash grab scheme ever. These films are still immensely popular to whole new generations and they're certainly gonna sell more of all 7 previous ones with the final film being released. And now they wanna cancel all shipments of new ones cuz they wanna jack up their annual profit margin for the franchise before the year's out? Given said current popularity, then this definitely takes the cake as the worst cash grab ever.

For example, the "Star Wars Saga" may be popular, but it's not been as popular as this for at least 6yrs, or 34 given that the first film was truly the most successful, so the blu-ray release aint as cheap considering not nearly as many people are scrambling to get it, let alone paying attention to the saga at all these past few years. But HP is so current that doing that is ridiculous. I mean I know every "limited edition" is still on shelves (usually) years after their alleged cancellation, but this is still pretty low. Thoughts?
