Harrison Ford Talks Blade Runner Prequels and Sequels

Harrison Ford talks Blade Runner prequels and sequels
Blade Runner star Harrison Ford talked about Alcon Entertainment's acquisition of rights to make prequels and sequels to the 1982 sci-fi drama, spearheaded by Alcon co-founders Broderick Johnson and Andrew A. Kosove.

While promoting Cowboys & Aliens, Harrison Ford told Omelete:

"I don't have any feeling whatsoever. It was an interesting part of my professional life, I'm glad I made that movie, I'm glad that it got released without the hideous voice-over and I don't know anything about it. I don't have a judgement about how wise it is to revisit it. I personally think if you're gonna do... The ambition every time that I've been involved in a sequel of a film or a movie that had a number of iterations, I always felt that we were responsible for bringing something new to the characters and to the experience of the audience. If they go into it with the ambition and some very good idea of how to bring something new to it, maybe it'll be successful."

"I wouldn't feel bad if I were not invited to the party, because I would understand they would want fresh blood to be spilled. So there you are. They're making another Jack Ryan movie and I'm not involved. So that's the way it is."

No production information has been announced.

This doesn't sound go, at all. But, who knows, it may take a good route, within it's first attempt.

Just make a prequel and get it over with, cause we all know something is gonna happen whether we like it or not.

Blade Runner overrated, that is pure crazy talk man, sorry but that film is absolutely amazing. One of my top five favorite films but I'm not sure more films are needed really. I'm with Ford though, if they can make them right and bring something new to the table, with or without Ford being involved, it should be a solid flick! Don't see it being as good unless Ridley is involved though.

I think Blade Runner is overrated, but I know for sure it doesn't need a sequel or a reboot. Part of the fascination with this film is how it was tarnished in its original release, but then got respect over the years. A misunderstood film in a way.

HHmmmmmm what are the chances of a Blade Runner 2 or 3 movie being as Unique and loved as the original, that film was extraordinary and Special. If they do make 2 and 3 i would definitely watch them but i don't have any real high hopes for their success. Give ridley a call and see what he says
