"The story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form," Ford told France's Le Figaro. "Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I'll be very happy to put the costume on again."
We'll certainly keep you posted on any new updates on a fifth Indiana Jones film as soon as we have more information.

Spear of Destiny wouldn't work given HF's age. At 67 now, and assuming they film next summer when he'll be 68, then he won't pass off as the guy in his forties fighting nazis in the thirties.

I think that Connery should stay in retirement because I don't want to the film to be called Indiana Jones and the Ghost of Sr. Jones.

I heard the same, but Connery stated the first time round his staying in retirement i doubt they're gonna changed his mind a secind time round.
They are just beating around the bush, it was stated that he will only be a central character if he accepts to return which is unlikely

Just heard that Indy's dad will be a central character in the next film. Wanted to hear what others think since Connery is retired and his character was killed off in Crystal Skull. So does anybody forsee a scavenger hunt set up by Dr. Jones Sr or see something else happening?

look at H20 and Resurrection, there were two actors that played the son of Jamie's character. If you take a look at it, it's was played by Shia, not that I'm bragging.
He wasn't good enough to be in the last Jones film, one of three reasons why some people just didn't like it.

He stated it depends if they want him back and that he stated that it depends if they want him back he would be glad to reprise the role or even continue the franchise, and that he enjoys working with Spielberg, but the outcome all depends if they write his character into the screenplay

I may not care for Shia, but he's all right an actor, he just is the wrong person to portray the son.Someone a little more tougher than him could do the character justice.

Really? I thought Shia himself said that he wasn't coming back?

Illuminati could be pretty darn interesting if they were looking to modernise, Indy.
I've heard that they are having Shia continue the franchise, so it looks like Indy gets the snuff in this one or hangs up the hat

The Narrator: The Better Man
Hmm... Tower of Babel sounds pretty cool actually. But I still like Atlantis the best out of all of them. Or how about the Illuminati. Maybe?

There is an Indy Comic Series and a click adventure game called The Fate of Atlantis. It has so much in it that it would make for a great film...
A female psychic partner. Cave excavation in Iceland. The lost dialogue of Plato. Hot air balloon chase over the Sahara. Deep sea diving in the Mediterranean. Getting possessed by a dead Atlantian king. A GOD MAKING MACHINE! I honestly can't remember all of it!
And yes, there is some fighting in a submarine :P
I also forgot to mention these other exciting stories...
Indiana Jones and the Sargasso Pirates,
and the Thunder in the Orient,
and the Arms of Gold,
and the Tomb of the Gods.
however, the above mentioned are not as exciting as what we have discussed already.
I actually had an idea for an Indy adventure. The tower of babel = a time machine. Hey. If they can do Aliens, why not time travel?

Maybe they rise Atlantis back up but the titles sound catchy
Indiana Jones & The Spear Of Destiny
or
Indiana Jones & The Lost City Of Atlantis.
LMAO
don't forget Hitler going

They kinda hinted at it in Constantine when that guy finds the spear wrapped in a Nazi flag. I thought that was interesting. I like the Spear of Destiny idea. Atlantis isn't bad either, but I don't know how you could make that into a full film (Indy fights Nazis in a submarine?) lol.

So yeah i'm game for Atlantis or the spear of destiny, or maybe both :)
maybe El Dorado.
Maybe the spear opens up the way to Atlantis or El dorado

that bad guy from the moon then better be a storm trooper with a lightsaber :D

The Narrator: The Better Man
Lol! Aaaah... Diaigma. I remember the days I thought the same way. Haha.
And J.A. I think it could work but doubt it. It's more plausible for them to have alien bad guys from the moon on this one. >.

an idea following your spear one,l the spear of destiny, could have the Germans looking for it, because Hitler was actually obsessed with finding the spear of deatiny because he believe that whoever held the spear ruled the world and was immortal and so and such, that the spear had godly powers, so it does work

The Fallen. Agreed. Last Crusade = the best. I saw that in theaters when I was 7. It rocked my world, though I was confused why Indy and that Austrian woman were kissing and wrestling in that room in Venice.
Ahh. The innocence of youth. :P

Hands down the best Indy flick was The Last Crusade. I would love to see the Atlantis story or even the Spear one.
I have a feeling if they did Eden, Lucas and Spielberg would work in perfectly preserved dinosaurs and aliens. :P So no no no there.

Since there are Indy books out on the market, make some of them into films. It would be better that way plus George needs to sit back a bit more, If I were Stephen I would stop being his friend.

Spear of Destiny and the Garden of Eden. Why didn't I bring those up. Good ones.
However, I think if they followed the Atlantis story, that would be AWESOME. A God making Machine? Heck yeah!

The movie could follow the formula films one and three (the best in my opinion) established and follow the religious relic path.
The Holy Lance, also known as the Spear of Destiny, was the Spear pierced into Jesus' side. Apparently, the holder of the spear becomes an immortal god, or some nonsense...
Cliche, as it is, it could bring us back to our Indy roots. And I agree with Chad, the Russians are lame-ass, push-over villains. ;)
