Gemma Arterton offered more insight into Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, stating the following.
"You see a series of flashbacks with their experience of killing that first witch, which is brilliant. I remember being on set for the final few days of that. The candy house, and the witches are really repulsive and quite frightening. The make-up is out of this world. It's this bone-chilling scene. Very dark. The girl who plays my character is brilliant, with the horrified expression she has. This (movie) is about abandonment and being lost and parents leaving you. The heart of it is that these kids grow up to be bloodthirsty witch hunters. It's a bit tongue in cheek, really. What would Hansel and Gretel be in 15 years time?"

@k-man He actually isn't. The dude is one of the few actors out there who is actually very humble and mainly because until The Hurt Locker his acting career was basically going nowhere and he was pretty much just working trying to keep his bills paid.
To put it lightly, the guy is one of hollywood's few cinderella stories

I'm still not entirely sure about Jeremy Renner, though. The guy just comes across as too arrogant for my liking. I'm hoping we see a different side to him in the new Mission Impossible film and I'd be more than happy to admit that I was wrong, if that happens. However, thus far, every movie he's been in he's been a a bit prick (now, obviously, he's acting in his films, I'm aware of this).....but *from what I've seen* he's kind of the same way in reality.

I love how every year there's that "it guy" actor. Last year it was Sam Worthington and this year its Jeremy Renner, keeps Hollywood fresh and unique.

@pbcritical - No, Michael Fassbender is in everything these days.
But yeah, Jeremy Renner is in quite a lot as well.
I wonder if this film will pleasantly surprise like Snow White and the Huntsman has (thus far).....or if it will be a giant piece of sh*t? Hmmm, time will tell.

Jeremy Renner is slowly becoming the next big action star. Hawkeye in The Avengers, Mission Impossible, The Bourne Legacy and now this. Good to see new blood in starring roles in Hollywood.
