Halo Photos Mysteriously Tease New Movie

Machinima.com has found recent success with their webseries Mortal Kombat: Legacy, which recently premiered on the site from director Kevin Tancharoen. This weekend, a mysterious set of photos appeared on Machinima.com's Facebook page, promoting what they call a Halo movie. It is not known at this time if this is a short in the same vein as Kevin Tancharoen's Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, which helped launch his video game-inspired webseries, if it is a full-fledged movie, or if it's the pilot of an upcoming webseries. Until more is known about this mysterious Halo project, enjoy the photos below.

    @skywise I noticed that in the last picture. The lead man has his gun forward, next one behind him has his gun slightly angled, the guy behind him more angled, until the last guy's gun is facing completely the other way. So wherever they move along the wall, all angles are covered.

    Also that last pick is pretty accurate looking as to how a squad would actually move and where their weapons would be pointed. That is the sort of thing i like to see.

    Machinima.com just released a behind the scenes video for this production. You can check it on their website. The uniforms are off but i like a little more of what i am seeing in this live action footage than what can be seen in the pics.

    Are you kidding? Practical effects are far superior than CGI. Don't get me wrong CGI is needed in some cases but it's way over used in movies and films now a days. Go back and look at "The Thing" and tell me those effect don't kick the ever living sh*t out any CGI work you've seen to date.

    the Aliens should be all CGI, not costumes.....hard to believe but people are still doing that....and if they can't find anyone who can run around in a 7ft tall armor...master chief should be CGI too......right?......

    @ryan ...it should be way better my friend......first, what is cool about plastic pads and shin-guards on lame-a$$ camouflage t-shirt and pants?...nothin'.....If this is what they're going for.....back to the drawing board guys.......producers that are attach to this project that don't know anything about the game and those of you who said you know but really you don't.....go play halo 1,2,3,& REACH, get the feel and get the costume, THEN, you start on the franchise.......a lot of expectations, especially from The Mime and other Halo fans..........No one wants to see another "The Last AIRBENDER" type of fail, where everything in that movie contradicts to what really happened in the animations version..(maybe not contradict but it really went the wrong way)...........not on HALO pls...no one wants to see that......right?

    as a fan like most of you are.......The Mime would go on to say that they are lame......a game like halo is going to be hard doing a series on it......but then it could be better than a full-length film. Anyways, the photos are, for now, lame......if this sure is a movie about Halo, they would have do better than this......bare hands,...really?...

    These photos looks silly tho. Halo deserves the big budget and experienced director asits an epic story beginning with Reach and so on. I dont want to see Webisodes i want Peter Jackson or someone of that calibur to do this and do it right.

    Mortal Kombat...ok i dont mind so much beacuse,well its a fighting game and those types of games have pretty weak stories anyway so i am happy to see someone take it seriously. However, Halo is a massive universe. I just dont know. I dont like what i am seeing.
