okay even thou part 5 was the worst of the franchise (im not sayin it sucks, i liked it) part 4,5 and 6 were there own little trilogy and we call all see that and how slysnide said they rushed into part 5 way 2 fast thats y they f*ck'd that one up, either way i would still cop this, Halloween is by far my favorite in Horror and this is something i need to have

You guys can crack your insults all ya want, this is my favorite series of horror movies. I loved every one of them. Plus Sly, if you'll remember the original film, Michael Mysteriously knew how to drive, so there it is case in point.....actually I don't really know what that case in point is, but the fact is these are awesome. Ans the ending of 5 was awesome......

What I liked about "H20" was that it wasn't an '80s styled gorefest that sucked ass. The 5th film even had Micahel chasing children...IN A CAR!!!!!! WTF???????? He's better than that. And what was the deal with the weird kids as the central characters. That made it suck more, and the whole climax of #6 was f*cked over beyond belief in comparison to what they originally shot. (reference "25yrs of Terror to find out what it was)

The opening of "Resurrection" was an epilogue to the ending of Laurie Strode, but they shoulda left it as it was with the end of "H20" where she finally killed Micheal, since that broke normal trends of the killer always getting away. Hence the terrible ending of "Halloween 5."

  6. Err

yeah the "trilogy of their own" thing is a good point.
4 and 5 were pretty crappy though in my opinion.
good stories, but this all-consuming 'usa up all night' feel to them.

but if they came out as a triple pack id sure buy it.

h20 and resurrection can lick my crack though, those movies were more or less an insult to the series, despite the return of jamie lee curtis.
especially resurrection, i get angry just thinking about how awful that movie was.
h20 was nothing special but it was at least watchable.

now that i think about, parts 1 and 2 are owned by different companies. so i guess probably thats why they arent all in the set.

u do make a good point there, o still think if they would have trown in part 6 the pack would have been alot better

They have a very awkward choice of films for this collection. If they want this to succeed, then they shoulda included #2, "H20" & "Resurrection" to at least feature the complete Laurie Strode story. And plus, #2 was written by J.C. which is the last time he had anything to do with the series, so I doubt that the guys who came up with this were thinking clearly.

Even Mr. Halloween himself, producer Moustapha Akkad (RIP) acknowledges openly and honestly that "Halloween 5" was a mistake cuz they rushed right into it with the unexpected success of "Halloween 4," and that it was the worst one in the series.

Plus, if you think about it, #s 4/5/6 were a trilogy on their own with the extended family as vics whom were acknowledged in the newspaper clippings during the opening credits of "H20" yet the Shape isn't mentioned by police as having stuck since the events of the first two movies. (blooper!)

So "Halloween" would have 2 discs like the 25th Anniversary Edition that I have, Halloween's 4&5 would be 2 discs total, and "25yrs Of Terror" which I also have is 2 discs. Doesn't sound like that great of a collection.

I won't be picking this up, despite being a fan of the series, well, the first 2 and "H20" at least.

i have a couple problems with this.
for one- why include a blu-ray disc with a regular non-hd set.

two- what about halloweens 2 and 3 and 6, the curse of michael myers?"

f*cking yesterday i bought what i thought was the curse (which is my favorite halloween movie, and i dont care if you approve) and it turned out to be the box for h6 with a bootleg of the rob zombie remake in the box.

    how f*cking irritating.
