Halloween 3D Is Coming to Theaters Summer 2010!

The Los Angeles Times has revealed that The Weinstein Company is preparing for Halloween 3D, a sequel to the Rob Zombie movies which will be released in the summer of 2010.

However, Co-Chairman Bob Weinstein said Rob Zombie won't return for Halloween 3-D and the studio is in negotiations with a new director, whom he declined to name, who has experience in horror and has a "different take" on the franchise.

Michael Myers cant die. He's Evil incarnate. On a side note, anyone catch the Boondocks last week where they used Halloween themes throughout the show? Best episode this season!!!

RZ halloween 2 was sh*t.. the first RZ was cool though! I admire RZ for his take on horror movies but it just doesnt fit with Hallowwen..I mean RZ Halloween 2 was good for a Horror movie but for a Micheal Myers movie HELLZ NO! Im a huge fan of the Halloween movies! though i think that RZ should have finish the franchised instead of rebooting it..i still wanna see what happens after Micheal wakes up in the hospital at the end of Halloween Resurrection??? am i the only one?

I do Believe that the last GREAT halloween movie was Halloween H20!! wasnt that pretty dope how Laurie finally getting payback on her brother! chopping off his head was like the icing on the cake hahaha and when Halloween Resurrection came out i was a little disappointed they had a great and perfect finish to a awesome franchise.

All in all i still want them to finish the franchise I DO BELIEVE THEY OWE IT TO THE LIFELONG FANS OF THE HALLOWEEN FRANCHISE...but im all in for the Halloween 3D(My Bloody Valentine 3D was cool) just ignore RZ Halloween 2 movie and all should be good!

I agree with some of you guys that RZ'S Halloween 2 wasn't a really good movie. But the fact a new director and the 3d filming might just put the franchise back on top. Hopefully the writers will give us a good story. Just give it some time and see what happens...

Sorry, don't like Michael Myers, Jason, and almost don't like Freddy. Those movies to me fall under the catagory of BOOOOOORING. I like Halloween 3, cause I didn't even have any refrence of what the Halloween franchise was when I saw it. It was just some scary psychological horror that freaked the f*ck out of me. I don't see how it compares to Terminator, that seems a bit off from what I remember of it. And How does it figure that I would like it, explain in greater detail, so I may further retaliate.

I like 3D, but Halloween is entering Friday the 13th realm now.

I'm scared for the future of cinema now.

    I'm going to hide now!

JohnnyBlaze, I think you mean Captain EO staring Michael Jackson. And Disney is bringing it back. Yep, that's right. They were going to bring it back in conjunction to his "This Is It Tour. I haven't hear anything else to the contrary, but they'd be stupid not to do it. They were stupid for folding and replaced it with some other 3D movie/ride when he had his first trial in '93, and now they're back-tracking. Morons!

Figures Delgren, that you'd like that dumb-assed third Terminator wannabee movie! The best ones were 1 & 2! They both took place on the same Halloween, the same night. Never has there been a sequel with perfect continuation and continuity with the original!

    Surely you jest!?

I agree J.A. thats why I never liked any of the Halloween movies, except for the third one cause it has nothing to do with Mike Myers, it gets redundant after a while. To me the best slasher movie is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Other than that, Maniac, and the first few A Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Recently the Toolbox Murders, but thats a bit more Giallo influenced.

k, Zombie is off the project and new director wants to go in a different direction that is some good news. But I am still not sure if this is a good idea.

I am a fan of Rob Zombie movies...but I don't know what he was thinking with Halloween 2....he states he wont be back,....they offer him enough and he will be back it is all about the money....and if he doesn't want to come back he knows he just sh*tted on the series...so no one can pick up his work...hello to kill Michael off and go in another direction won't work anyone see the first Halloween 3...didn't work....that should have been stipulation not to kill him off....he jacked up Loomis's character....Zombie did this one for the money...not for the fans....what a shame....

Love the idea of a sequel, though I'm leery of losing Rob Zombie. Knew he wouldn't return, though. Zombie's vision was complete. Hope the new guy lives up to the awesomeness that Rob Zombie gave us, though.

Na Zombie did good, this guy will deliver something in between the Halloween 1978 and Zombies H2 cause it cant be less violent than 1978 and it cant be more violent than Zombies take, so in other words this one will be POINTLESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
