Guitar Hero to Spawn Reality TV Series?

It seems that an immensely-popular video game series might be coming to the small screen, and more. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the video game Guitar Hero could be turned into a reality TV series and/or a live concert tour.

The game series comes from Activision, who have also revealed they plan to bring two more of their popular gaming titles - World of Warcraft and Call of Duty to the big screen.

The speculation on the series was fueled by comments made by Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, in an interview conducted before Thursday's earnings conference call. When asked about Guitar Hero, he said, "It might make for a good TV show or a good concert tour."

We'll certainly keep you posted on any details surrounding a Guitar Hero TV series or concert tour.

    Seriously, as show about guitar hero? If they decide to make it, it needs to be called "America's Got Fake Talent" I predict it will jump the shark as soon as the opening shot happens.

    I mean, sure, it's a fun game, but this is just to far, this is like those people who are always boasting that they can do 100% on expert on the hardest song or w/e

    NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! No Guitar Idol... no So You Think You Can Play Guitar... no America's Got Guitar Players... seriously - aren't there enough venues to prove you can play guitar already?!?! lame. send it to the CW where it and the network can sink happily together.
