Green Lantern Production Leaving Australia
It was said that the Australian dollar reached a 27-year high on Friday, which, compared to the falling U.S. dollar, would've added approximately $20 million to the Martin Campbell film's production budget.
"After working closely with our partners at the NSW Film and Television Office (Screen NSW) and examining every scenario, we have decided to move the production of Green Lantern. We are extremely grateful for the assistance we have received from the NSW Government, Fox Studios and the NSW filmmaking community," Warner Bros. said through a statement.
Production on the film was set to start in November and it was reported that it was likely Green Lantern would relocated to either Mexico or Canada.
Green Lantern was released June 17th, 2011 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Temuera Morrison, Jenna Craig, Jon Tenney, Mike Doyle. The film is directed by Martin Campbell.

Whew.
Wait a minute, I thought that if you went to work for one company while being employed with the other, you'd be fired from the other company because they are competing comic/film industry leading companies. Hence the situation when Bryan Singer signed on to "Superman Returns." I must have it wrong or something.

No you got it wrong CBF he is the first guy to be cast as a lead for both DC comics and Marvel so they are gonna make Deadpool he will play both characters their trying to go for a 2011 release so dont worry.

Please don't relocate to Mexico. Go to Canada, lots of good TV series' and movies are shot there. Like British Columbia. "Production has been shut down" for the time being, hmmm? I wonder: who was cast as Green Lantern?
