As long as it's shot in 3D then it should be great, been waiting on Green Lantern for a long time now, can't wait for 2011 to get here!

Green Lantern was confirmed in 3D ages ago....and this is inaccurate, Zack Synder confirmed that he won't have Sucker Punch in 3D, because he rufuses to do 3d conversion and would prefer to shoot in 3d

Well how many of us knew this was coming??? ( i got my hand raised) I knew once i seen the suit that the 3D was the next to be announced. Im not mad they are making this in 3D and I actually agree that if it were done just in IMAX it would be awesome. This movie would have been even better if they had started with 3D from the get go like AVATAR was made for the 3D. Its gonna be an awesome movie and looks like 2011 is gonna be a movie lovers dream come true!!! Transformers 3, GL, Thor, Captain America, HP and the DH part 2, maybe Ghost Rider 2. Am i missing anything else?

Seriously, movieweb. I think we can just assume from now on that all movies will have a 3d release. This isn't even new anymore.

Theaters don't get the films for free, they have to pay for them.

it's a cash cow, theaters and studios make more money this way. One thing you should know the theaters have to pay a hell of a lot of money just to get the films, this is the reason they add in more money for 3D films besides the concession stands.
It ain't over until hell freezes over.

Points made and heard....they're think mostly on what 3D can do for their wallets, and less on what 3D will do to their movies. Which, in some cases, make it suck and less interesting to most if not all movie goers. As TheKingofAmerica said, Avatar landed some cash on the 3D thing and all, But that doesn't mean that every movie should now jump to 3D...
I saw the official trailer of "Clash of the Titans" last night and I gotta admit, it looks pretty wild in 3D..still, not all should switch to 3D.

STOP MAKING EVERYTHING 3D!!!!!!! Yes Avatar was beautiful in 3D and it made a sh*t ton of money, but that doesn't mean studios should count on 3D as a gimick to make more money. (e.g. Clash of the Titans is now becoming 3D just to mkae money) People will have to start budgetting their movie money and it will hurt the industry. like "Rustman" said, I'll just have to start waiting for movies to come to rental which will cost me $5, instead of paying $15 to see a movie on the big screen with four 3D shots in it.

I absolutely hate 3D! Lots of movies in 3D=me going to the theatres even less. I will just wait for the movie to come out on Blu-ray!

This has no effect on me either way. I was planning on seeing Green Lantern even if it was shot with 8mm film.

This isn't surprising. Green Lantern should lend itself beautifully to 3D.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Two movies which I can't wait for, and they'll be in 3D... .. ... .. . .. ...
Well at least Martin Campbell hasn't started filming yet. Now he can create it from the top up almost in 3D. Same can't be said for Sucker Punch.
