wow. the first trailer was kinda questionable, but that just killed all my questions. i'll be seeing this now for sure. once, possibly even thrice in the theaters. i love 3D movies and this looks like it might just blow em all away. f*ck captain america, this is what 3D FORMAT WAS MADE FOR, other worlds and epic action. bring it on warner bros.!!!

@bruce-ha Glad to see you liked Sinestro Corps War. The answer to your question is as follows: Superman Prime is an alternate reality of Superman. I'm sure CBF could fill you in more, but I recommend DC Database to you so that you may find the answers for yourself. It's pretty amazing, but long winded. Have fun researching :)

Just read the first volume of the Sinestro Corps war and it was overwhelming. Great story but somewhat hard to follow for those new to the storyline. For instance, i had no idea there were more human Green Lanterns other than Hal Jordan. Thought it was a one-man-show ala Superman. Didn't know there also was Guy, Kyle and John. I watched the animated movie from 2009, but it was still hard to follow what was going on in Sinestro Corps war.

Who the hell was that superman clone? Was it superman in an alternate universe? I didn't know what to think of it.

Remember when they originally planned to make a Clark Kent cameo, with the lantern ring searching for a replacement?

  13. The Narrator: The Better Man

That's just it, @jptheredskull. Once the motion capture process is complete, they still have to align the suit t Reynold's face, which requires rotoscoping. It doesn't just magically cling on to the body, and follow it's every move, while accounting for Reynolds head. They have to go frame by frame somewhere, and make sure they're properly aligned whenever Reynolds turns his head, and what not.

    It doesn't like you, Cell.

To follow up on my comment, I thought the beginning started out nicely, but once you get into Hammond and Parallax the cheese factor sets in. I hope I can take Parallax seriously. It didn't look very menacing.

@c-a-r-t-m-a-n I realized the real reason why the cgi on reynolds seems off. At the neck line of the suit when it make the v shape, the part of his neck that sticks out is cgi and it doesn't meld well when he's talking.

@c-a-r-t-m-a-n Yeah. I don't get the complaining for unpolished cgi especially on a film such as this. This really is the Star Wars of CBM's due to the fact that is so cgi heavy. Films like this someimes don't completely finish until mere weeks before release.

Shame on all who doubted this. I have complete faith on Martin Campbell's vision. Although someone said that the action looks a little video game'esque and I agree, lets hope the screenplay holds strong.

Not entirely convinced, but I am more pumped for this movie now. I'm just worried about the visuals. The landscapes and surroundings on Oa look astounding, but the aliens when put next to Hal, at least in that one gathering scene where Sienstro is speaking to them, don't look realistic enough. All things considered, I'm looking forward to it.

  27. Cartman

@jptheredskull - Im happy that you know all the information about the suit and how they did it mate. Not G-Mat, but an tracker filled suit that would capture his movements. The suit is completely CGI.

Transformers is just months away and still some VFX scenes are being done. These days just weeks or days before movie makers are working in polishing the product. So ppl please wait till you see the final completed product and then talk abt the CGI errors(if you find any) - PS watch it in Big Screen and not any crappy torrent download only then you have right to talk abt the movie!!

@narrator so, they didn't really Rotoscope. they really just used the techniques usd to create the iron man suit over RDJ in Iron Man. RDJ did Most of the armor work but just using a motion capture suit.
