Warner Bros. has hired Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix screenwriter Michael Goldenberg to write the screenplay for Green Lantern 2, according to Variety.

gee must be confident on the first movie to write a sequel before the first one is complete

The screenwriter did a horrible job on Harry Potter 5. He left out so much and the book was the longest in the series.

I really hope they aren't building up the sequel on the foundation of a bomb. The Last Airbender taught me that positive hype around a movie months BEFORE it's release does not mean a good movie will come about.

I'm excited for the first one, and I don't mean to sound cynical...but it's assuming a lot making a script for sequel so early

They must have a lot a confidence in the success of the first one if their already talking about the sequel.
