Gran Torino Burns Rubber Through the Home Video Charts

Gran Torino Clint Eastwood and his classic car mowed down any and all competition in their path on the home video charts. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gran Torino was the runaway winner, sweeping the national DVD sales, rental and Blu-ray sales charts, in its first week on the shelves.

The new release's closest competition wasn't even that close at all, with fellow new title The International the closest competitor in DVD sales in second place, although it was a distant second place. Gran Torino outsold The International by a staggering margin of seven to one.

Gran Torino bumped off He's Just Not That Into You, last week's top seller and rental, on the sales and rental charts, with the romantic comedy finishing in third place on the sales charts and second place on the rental charts, ahead of The International which took third in rentals.

While Gran Torino completed the sweep by taking the Blu-ray sales charts, there were a few other notable titles on the charts this week. New release Woodstock 40th Anniversary took a solid seventh place on the DVD sales charts and sixth place on the Blu-ray sales charts, while super-holdover Taken continues its impressive run by jumping up a spot to fourth place in DVD sales and up another spot in Blu-ray sales from fourth to third.

Awesome Movie. You know Ive been hearing sh*t that Clint is past his prime, but that is total bullsh*t. And lack of respect.
Clint is only one of the greatest hollywood icons. And has starred in and directed classics.
This was a great movie, and Clint was fantastic.
The only problem I had was the bad Asian acting. They really do suck. lol

"He's Just Not That Into You" was a really cute funny film. Very realistic. Surprised me...I would give it a B+...Very Under-Rated.

I have no interest to see "Gran Torino" ..I skipped it in theaters..and will just wait for late night cable.

I liked "Taken" ..I saw it in theaters and bought a copy when it came out on DVD! Good cast between Liam Neeson & Famke Janssen. Very interesting plot!

I saw "The International" in theaters...Very good film ...I would give it a B- .....Good plot ...but then you forget about it.. Good cast with Clive Owen & Naomi Watts! I love the shootout inside New York's famous Guggenheim Museum.
