Barry Levinson to direct Gotti: Three Generations
In mid-April, Nick Cassavetes dropped out of directing the upcoming biopic Gotti: Three Generations. Today, Barry Levinson has taken over the project.

John Travolta, Joe Pesci, and Lindsay Lohan have all signed onto this drama that will follow the life's path of reformed gangster John Gotti Jr. This will be the first time a Gotti has given permission to have a film made about their family's life.

Production on Gotti: Three Generations will begin in the fall, with a release date planned for sometime in 2012. This biopic will be shot on-location in and around New York City.

Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father comes to theaters in 2013 and stars John Travolta, Ben Foster, Joe Pesci, Lindsay Lohan, Kelly Preston, Ella Bleu Travolta, Al Pacino, Chazz Palminteri. The film is directed by Barry Levinson.

    I've said it before but i can never get enough mafia movies. And like i said before the original Gotti HBO original is not only a very accurate look at the life of Gotti but a very realistic vision of mafia life so IMO this film has big shoes to fill.
