Gore Verbinksi Eyeing Untitled Universal Script
The untitled project looks at a retired rancher who loses all his money in a phone scam.
"The script taps into the shaken trust the public has toward once-trusted institutions and examines how the people behind these institutions are sometimes themselves as much victims of the same blind trust," said producer Jonathan Krauss.
Initially the script was titled Black Hole but it isn't called that any longer. The film will be made via Verbinski's Blind Wink Productions shingle. The director will make the film with Scott Aversano.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Hell yeah, it better be rated R. And if Bioshock isn't done by 2010, i will be very pissed off.

It should be more than just action. Bioshock has a deep history and story, and while you don't actually play through it in the game, you experience it through dialogue and video diaries you pick up along the way. My first pick was Zack Snyder because he hasn't done a game-based film yet, his style would suit it perfectly, and he stays faithful to the source material. Then they announced Verbinski was directing and I was content, but...he's not getting his ass up to it, yet lol But, yeah, action would be a big part, too. Lots of violence, action, special effects, layered with a great story and atmosphere. It better be rated R

More details...
I've never played Bioschock, but by Vis's apparent excitement, and the basic plot of the game, I reflect Vis's statement: HURRY IP AND BRING A CGI FILLED ACTION FILM...

I thought I heard somewhere that he WAS in fact eying the role, but I cannot find the site, so it was either a dream, or I took your wish for him to play Andrew Ryan, forgot you wanted it, and then thought it was true. But I think I saw an article about it, so I dunno. lolz!

Well, Depp would make a perfect Ryan, so it's okay lol
