Goon International Trailer
"This has the elements of a sports masterpiece!" The first trailer for Goon has arrived, featuring plenty of hard-core hockey action for fans worldwide. Fubar director Michael Dowse is behind this inspirational sports comedy about the misfits of semi-pro puck slapping, with a cast that features Seann William Scott, Jay Baruchel, Alison Pill, and an almost unrecognizable Liev Schreiber. Grab some back bacon, slice open a dented tall boy, and dive into this international clip from Canada below.
Goon was picked up for US distribution by Magnolia Pictures genre arm Magnet Releasing. A spring 2012 theatrical release is expected to be announced, as well as a release through Magnet's Ultra VOD program.Goon was released March 30th, 2012 and stars Seann William Scott, Jay Baruchel, Alison Pill, Liev Schreiber, Eugene Levy, Marc-André Grondin, Kim Coates, Nicholas Campbell. The film is directed by Michael Dowse.

Not really a hockey "fan" but I've always liked the sport since watching The Mighty Ducks Trilogy as a kid. In fact I was thinking bout it yesterday....

@kman - I can relate to that sentiment but when it comes to any movie involving baseball (excited for Moneyball) ...this looks good, have a few friends who played hockey that were geeked up when i told them this was coming out. .. funniest line in the trailer was at the end when the coach was yelling at them and basically called baseball players p*ssies....mostly true btw

F*CK YES!!!!! I'm partial to this because I played competitive hockey for my entire childhood/young adult life. It's the only sport that I even remotely give a sh*t about.......and this is going to be awesome. Haven't looked forward to a sports movie (aside from Warrior.....ironically) in YEARS.
