Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego is making his English-language directorial debut with the thriller Solo, for Gold Circle Films/Safran.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, plot details are being kept under wraps for Solo, which is based on a spec script from writer David Coggeshall. The film is said to be a Misery-style thriller for the teen set, with elements of "Lord of the Flies" and "Blue Lagoon".

Production will begin in the next few months.
