Glory Road Scores the Weekend's Box Office Victory

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Buena Vista Pictures' Glory Road moved up a notch and into first place for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, ahead of Weinstein Co.'s Hoodwinked, which had been in the top spot based on early estimates.

A mere $48,187 separated the two films, and the Weinstein Co. will have to wait on having its first No. 1 film at the boxoffice. The final four-day opening for Glory Road was $16.93 million, and Hoodwinked tallied $16.88 million. Both films did much better than originally estimated because Monday turned out to be a stronger day than anticipated for both films.
