Glee's breakout star Lea Michele is gearing up to take on her first major film role in the upcoming comedy New Year's Eve. The movie is a thematic follow-up and sequel of sorts to last winter's Garry Marshall hit Valentine's Day.
Lea Michele celebrates New Year's Eve
Michele will be part of a large ensemble cast in the New Line romcom, which Marshall is expected to direct. Valentine's Day screenwriter Katherine Fugate is also returning, as are producers Wayne Rice and Mike Karz.
The plot, which will include some of the same characters from Valentine's Day, finds lovers preparing for the New Year holiday. Returning cast members include Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Hector Elizondo, as well as Julia Roberts, Emma Roberts, and Queen Latifah.
New Year's Eve was released December 9th, 2011 and stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Zac Efron, Charlotte Marshall-Fricker, Fiona Choi, Mary Marguerite Keane, Michael Mandell, Patrick Reale, Robert De Niro. The film is directed by Garry Marshall.
