Reported to be the most expensive post-Super Bowl episode in television history, Glee's Episode 02.11: The Super Bowl Episode revolves around a high school football game at McKinley high, where New Directions will perform Michael Jackson's Thriller during the half-time break. Two new jock characters named Scott Cooper and Strando (Kody Batchelor) will be introduced. Quinn (Dianna Agron) will quit New Directions. Rachel (Lea Michele), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), and Mercedes (Amber Riley) will join the McKinley football team causing the Kurt-abusing Dave Karofsky (Max Adler) to quit. And Katie Couric will guest star in an unspecified role.
