Girls renewed for Season 2 on HBO
Both series, which have been a hit with critics and audiences alike, have been given a second season commitment of ten episodes each. These episodes will debut spring of 2013.
Girls, which returns with the all-new Episode 1.04: Hanna's Diary on May 5th, follows friends Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna as they try to figure life out. They've been living in New York for a couple of years, but they're still not sure what they want: From boys, from each other, from themselves. And things aren't getting any clearer. Created by and starring Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture), Girls takes a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their early 20s.
Veep, which returns with the all-new Episode 1.03: Catherine on May 6th, stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, who becomes vice president, only to discover the job is nothing like she expected, but everything she was warned about.
Girls episode 1.4, "Hannah's Diary" stars Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver, James LeGros, Kathryn Hahn, Christopher Abbott and is directed by Richard Shepard.
Veep episode 1.3, "Catherine" stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Matt Walsh, Sufe Bradshaw, Kate Burton and is directed by Tristram Shapeero.

I didn't watch the first episode of Veep, so eh. Usually after Game of Thrones, I call it a night with TV. End on a high note.

Haven't seen girls, but I do enjoy Veep and I laughed a lot from last night's episode
