As much of the last two stank, I would like to see some crossovers from Fringe. It would help to explain a few things and seeing David and the current FBI agent together on a case would help increase the odds.
Well said, Rauol. But allow me to provide a counterpoint:
DO IT RIGHT OR NOT AT ALL.
I'm a fan of the show, but the first movie sucked and the second was even worse. I agree, the show needs a proper conclusion, but note that word: PROPER. I just feel like a movie can't do it anymore. As much as I hate to say it, I think it's time to let this franchise die. :-(
If any of you were actually fans of this show, you would know that another movie is necessary. The last movie, I'll admit, kinda sucked. It was a stand alone film though, that had nothing to do with the mythology of the series, which has never been fully resolved. Anderson said she didn't want to come back after I Want to Believe, so I hope this is true, because to have the final conclusion of this series without Scully, is just retarded.
OMG, You have to be asking why GOD why. The first film was just pure crap, the second was even worse. Do these "Actors" have nothing else they can do, are they so low in the Hollywood pecking order that they need to try and breath new life into an old format. (its already been done with Fringe) Get your self a new agent and get a life for f*cks sake.
I think Luca is right, one more movie to close everything off and then end it...forever. Which is what they could have done in the last series but oh no we need super soldiers now FFS.
I hope it's going to be rightfully scaled. It should end the Mythology storyline of all The X Files seasons. They must do something never done before, like... I don't know... show actually the alien planet. A very alien planet.

I am with Pablouk. Time to just let this franchise die. The second movie was one of the worst movies I have ever watched
