Ghostbusters 3 moves forward with new writer Etan Cohen
Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg (The Office, Year One) were hired to write the screenplay back in 2008. The project was stalled for many years, primarily by actor Bill Murray, who was rumored to have hated the screenplay. The actor revealed on the Late Show with David Letterman last month that he was hesitant about signing on for the sequel, but he also said in April that it was a possibility. Perhaps all it will take for the actor to finally sign on is a well-received script from this new writer.
Ghostbusters stars Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver will all likely return, if the project ever gets off the ground.
Etan Cohen's other credits include Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Tropic Thunder, and Idiocracy.
Ghostbusters 3 is in development and stars Sigourney Weaver, Anna Faris, Eliza Dushku, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson. The film is directed by Ivan Reitman.

nice idea, but it has been so long since part 11 not sure how many people are going to see it, i know i am, but not sure this generation will run out to see it, let see what marketing does to bring in the kids which made the first two hits. maybe a new cast will help but keeping the orig cast in the movie some how. Time will tell.
