The new Ghost Rider movie, meaning "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance", is worth happening because of the "not so good" first Ghost Rider movie. The new Ghost Rider movie is like a reboot because of the first Ghost Rider movie that came out in 2007. Honestly, I didn't think the new Spiderman movie was needed though, because the three spider man movies that have already been made, were all that was needed when it comes to having to do with Spiderman movies and were good movies.

Do people agree with the Marvel reboots? I am in two minds about this one, avengers i can understand as it wasn't really a re boot but what about the whole spiderman and ghost rider movies, should b good but do we really need them :/

@John-Sanders -- You do know that you probably spoiled that for others' who may have yet to see "Kick-Ass", right? That's exactly how I got that segment spoiled for me...

The first one was alright. This one looks freaking sweet. Story wise. Cage hasn't been in any good films in awhile. The last one I liked him in even though it wasn't a huge role and they killed him off was when he played hit girls dad in "Kick Ass". Other than that... Nada. I am curious to see how this turns out.

@k-man -- I really respect your response and so I feel prompted to ask questions - If I may.

"that movie is so incredibly overrated that it's disturbing." -- you never pointed out what made it "over-rated", and a movie can be "over-rated" and still be a good/great movie - your overall satisfaction with a film does not completely make your argument valid, in your case - it might.

Did you not like the movie because it wasn't "entertaining" for you, etc - or because it suffered great faults that were not outweighed by its' greatness? There was very few faults with "Kick-Ass" - it may range from "boring" to "over-the-top" to select viewers - a major turn off for some. Some of the dialogue felt deliberately corny, juvenile, crude, etc - but that is only because it defines "Kick-Ass" and I do respect that it may not be a delicacy for older and/or sensitive audiences. The faults still seem nearly unmentionable given the action-scenes that provide such a thrilling experience. From the music, to the vibe, back to the emotions - "Kick-Ass" is brilliant.

I will refrain from discussing my personal opinion on all the great things about that film - due to the fact that I do not want to derive my post of its' original form.

  14. K-Man

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx - Yeah, I have.....and I still wouldn't put Kick-Ass in there. In my opinion, that movie is so incredibly overrated that it's disturbing.

This isn't me bitching or anything like that, but I'm just glad to have grown up in an era when films that were great were released on a relatively regular basis, I feel like it gives me perspective on what is and isn't actually good......as opposed to growing up on the majority of the nonsense that is released these days, which comes out consistently, and just being used to it (or not knowing any better).

Therefore, in my opinion, Kick-Ass is Mediocre at best.

I mean that in the nicest way possible and I'm not trying to bring anyone down. I'm also not saying that my taste is better or more important than anyone else's.......I'm just saying that I have a very different opinion than a lot of people on this site on what is or isn't a great film.....and Kick-Ass isn't among them.

@k-man -- You didn't add "Kick-Ass" in there - have you seen all of his films, man? If not, your opinion clearly doesn't hold the backbone it could have.

  19. K-Man

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx - I stick by what I said. In his whole career he has done only about four movies that I could consider good, quality films......Lord of War, The Rock, Matchstick Men and Face off.

......and none of those films have been made in the last 5 years.

    9 months agoby @k-manFlag

  20. XxNickTheFilmCriticXx

@k-man -- I disagree. He CAN act - have you seen him in "Kick-Ass"? It seems it just needs to pick the right roles and his career will be great(er).

@mattbierwagen haha as much as I love that fire piss thing, I can't blame you for being annoyed by it. That's understandable. the line is funny, but that image of him actually doing it was kind of pushing it. It could've done without the image.

@combatmadness360 i like him in a couple movies, but there are very few roles i feel hes right for, this is not one of them for me. I like him in national treasure, and the rock. as far as the fire piss goes, it just bugs me

@mattbierwagen you're not a fan of nic cage I take it? and you got a problem with the fire piss? well, its not the dark knight, its going to be a humorous yet badass take on the character. like the directors' other films: crank and crank 2.
