Marvel Studios expands its film universe with a new type of superhero: Thor. This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Thor was released May 6th, 2011 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgård, Kat Dennings, Clark Gregg, Idris Elba. The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh.

ZanyZap, the hammer-thing is called Mjollnir. He can throw it and it will magically return to him, as if it were a boomerang.
As for the suit, it looks good. I don't read Thor, but looking at the picture for the comic, the live-action version seems faithful. I smirked at some of the comments comparing it to Japanese stock footage from the 1990's, but seriously, how did everyone think this character would be portrayed? Besides, this picture isn't doing the suit justice- how it moves will tell the real tale of the Destroyer. If it doesn't do all those exaggerated poses from MMPR or VR Troopers, and has fluid movements, then all will be well.

It seems all of the directors and production crew are doing a FANTASTIC job at sticking to the source material with what we have seen with The Incredible Hulk and Ironman. I never was big fan of Thor, but I'm going to say that this film is going to do the character justice and bring him to the spotlight a bit more. Destroyer, looks just like it.

Do you guys understand anything about production design? This is an impressive suit, and if it's functional then good on them, because it's an accurate interpretation and it looks cool for what it is. Besides, this is a tiny picture, what the f*ck is there to judge?

God I hope this doesn't turn out to be stupid Thor is my favorite, and the Villian (the Destroyer) looks to much like something from that ridiculous show "The Power Rangers" I wonder if he will be talking with his hands all movin around , while fighting, Man that was a stupid show I am glad I was already grown up when that show hit the air, but even as a kid I would have thought that show was ridiculous and cheezy... I Hope this Thor Movie is epic and not "Power Rangers" stupid
