In Buried, Ryan Reynolds stars as Paul Conroy, a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After being attacked by a group of Iraqis, Paul awakens to find himself buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone at his disposal, he must find a way to escape. It's a race against time in this harrowing new thriller from Rodrigo Cortes, which hits theaters in 2010.
Buried was released October 8th, 2010 and stars Ryan Reynolds, José Luis García Pérez, Robert Paterson, Stephen Tobolowsky, Samantha Mathis, Ivana Miño, Warner Loughlin, Erik Palladino. The film is directed by Rodrigo Cortés.

A cell phone can work anywhere, being underground doesnt disable its on/off feature, highly doubt the reception is good unless he buried beside a cell phone tower

They had Colin Ferrel in a phone booth for the almost the entire film so this isn't that far off, I just don't know how they will make the "inside the box" scenes entertaining. He can only do so much lol.

this is really intresting, the town i live at has had a man "contractor" who was working with some water purifying job that really did dissappear in iraq and he was married to a russian woman, i used to help cut their lawn in town, he was never found.....
