We're still over a month out until the release of Terminator Salvation, but you can get a look at some of the storyboards of the first attack by the Harvester Robot (the machine that collects humans so Skynet can examine them) now. The images come our way via SCI-FI Wire, and are early images from the new Terminator Salvation: The Official Movie Companion book, which hits store shelves May 1, 2009.

Terminator Salvation: The Official Movie Companion details the creation of the film, with interviews and commentary from the cast and crew of Terminator Salvation, including director McG and star Christian Bale. The book will be released alongside The Art of Terminator Salvation which showcases the movie's creative design, with storyboards, stills and production art.

Also on May 1st, Titan Books will release the official novelization of Terminator Salvation, written by science-fiction legend Alan Dean Foster.
