Now, for the nay-sayers, it is worth pointing out that this is a fairly low-resolution of what seems to be the mask moving, so it will probably appear better on-screen that it does in this image.
Between these images of Destro, and the images that have come out of Ray Parks as Snake-Eyes, it's interesting to see how much they seem to have gotten right with the look of G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, even while other parts of the film seem to be completely off visually.
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra is scheduled for an August 7, 2009 release. The film stars Ray Parks, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Said Taghmaoui, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Marlon Wayans, Channing Tatum, Dennis Quiad, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Arnold Vosloo, Karolina Isela Kurkov, Byung Hun Lee and Christopher Eccleston.

I think they used CGI for one good reason. You can't possibly make a metal mask conform and move to a human face like Destros does. It would look horrible with all sorts of hinges and sh*t. At least with CGI it will look like it is supposed to look. But I hope t does get better in the movie. Let's wait for better pictures to really cast stones.

Snake Eyes, not bad at all. Everyone in the same padded black suits, I can look past it. Storm in a f*ckin' white tux top, I'm starting to get pissed. This bullsh*t instead of chrome? I'm about to give up hope on this, but I hope I'm wrong and it just ends up kicking ass.

Not worried. It makes sense, it will look fine in hi res, moving normally.
VIS: The mask is a device of "The Doctor"s Mind control. When Destro gets scarred, The Doctor gives it to him, takes over the organization and turns it into COBRA

We haven't seen Cobra Commander yet. The image of the "The Doctor" that was said to be Commander was either a separate character or CC in one of his many disguises. Unless I missed something...
I hope the mask is good CGI
