Gerald McRaney Flies with Red Tails

Gerald McRaney has boarded the cast of Lucasfilm's Red Tails, the Anthony Hemingway-directed action drama about the Tuskegee Airmen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, McRaney will play General Luntz, the officer who assigns the Red Tails as bomber escorts during missions over Nazi held territory.

The film, starring Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding, Jr., was written by John Ridley from a story by George Lucas and is being produced by Rick McCallum and Charles Floyd Johnson with Lucas as exec producer.

Production is set to shoot in Europe.

Red Tails was released January 20th, 2012 and stars Bryan Cranston, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Daniela Ruah, Michael B. Jordan, Aml Ameen, Tristan Wilds, Ne-Yo. The film is directed by Anthony Hemingway.
