A new rumor has surfaced that indicates Lucas isn't happy with Anthony Hemmingway's work
FirstShowing has posted a new unsubstantiated rumor about George Lucas' upcoming producing effort. The new rumor indicates that Lucas is unhappy with director Anthony Hemmingway's work on Red Tails, the World War II film about the historic Tuskegee Airmen, and that Lucas himself will come aboard to direct the "massive reshoots."

The rumor also states that Lucas and his producing partner Rick McCallum are currently delving through the dailies looking for any possible footage they can use and it was also said that script rewrites will take place as well.

It wasn't said when or where the reshoots will take place, and the film doesn't have a locked release date as of yet, so we're not quite sure when we might be seeing this film in theaters. Of course, none of this has been confirmed by LucasFilm as of yet, so we'll be sure to keep you updated on any more news on this film.

Red Tails stars Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Bryan Cranston, Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Tristan Wilds, Kevin Phillips, Andre Royo and Elijah Kelley.

Red Tails was released January 20th, 2012 and stars Bryan Cranston, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Daniela Ruah, Michael B. Jordan, Aml Ameen, Tristan Wilds, Ne-Yo. The film is directed by Anthony Hemingway.

He's joking, right? George Lucas not happy with someone else's work? It must have been utter trash for Lucas to say anything.

Well at least he is branching out of Star Wars for a while. His last branch out (save for Indy) was I think Howard the Duck and we all don't want that. But I think he will take this seriously, and hopefully it may bring his name back to an honorable mention. He used to be great... he could be again... maybe.

I'm looking forward to this... although I am about sick and tired of World War II films.

yes, and what movieweb forgot to mention as well is that not only are rewrites and reshoots happening but there are cast changes as well. cuba gooding jr. and terrence howard are being replaced prior to rewrites and Jar jar binks and yoda will be replacing the two main stars... after all, Lucas is only able to direct puppets and computer graphics better than humans.

This is weird. I though Cuba and Terrence already done a movie together on the Tuskegee Airmen that was made for TNT about 10 years ago or so.

Fistshoving.net: I belLIEve them. Billy Appleton, or whatever his name is, only flaunts this type of news because George Lucas somehow hurt his tender feelings. The guy is a grade A douche knuckle. And his story holds no validity.
