George Clooney is going to be a busy man after Ocean's 13. He's beem hired to do re-writes, direct and star in the romantic comedy, Leatherheads for Universal.

Renee Zellweger is also in talks to join the film, which is set in the hay day of the 1920s. Variety reports the film revolves around an aging football player who coaxes a college star to drop out and try his luck in a new professional league.

Leatherheads will begin production early next spring.
