Gemma Arterton Joins 'Clash of the Titans'

She will take the role of the demi-goddess Io in the Louis Leterrier-directed remake.
Empire magazine has reported that Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) is going Greek, signing on for the Louis Leterrier-directed Clash of the Titans, starring opposite Sam Worthington.

Arterton will take the role of the demi-goddess Io. "My part is... the coolest part," she said. "Io's not in the original film. Perseus falls in love with her and then [CENSORED FOR TINY SPOILER]. It's a really great part."

Arterton also said that in contrast to the 1981 original Harry Hamlin film, this one is "much more about Perseus' mission, and how he deals with being the son of Zeus."

Warner Bros. Pictures is planning a March 26, 2010 release.

Clash of the Titans was released April 2nd, 2010 and stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Flemyng, Gemma Arterton, Alexa Davalos, Tine Stapelfeldt, Mads Mikkelsen. The film is directed by Louis Leterrier.

Interesting, she was pretty cool in QOS as Agent Fields, she suits the role as well. I'd think she make a pretty cool Aphrodite as well, but i'm interested, never knew that she was in Prince Of Persia though.

And for the first poster information...Can you actually visualise this remake to Clash Of The Titans as a R-rated film...dude the original was a PG rating... were getting a PG-13 film
