Gavin Hood ("Tsosti") is in final negotiations to direct the new political thriller, Rendition for New Line Cinema.

The multilayered film centers on a CIA analyst based in Cairo who finds his world spinning out of control after he witnesses the interrogation of a foreign national by the Egyptian secret police, says Variety.

Kelley Sane is writing the script; a fall start of production is set for Rendition.
