Gary Ross Directing Nascar Drama

Gary Ross struck a deal with Universal Pictures to develop and direct an untitled drama revolving around NASCAR racing. The script is being written by Terence Winter, the The Sopranos executive producer who recently adapted The Wolf of Wall Street for Martin Scorsese at Warner Bros.

According to Variety, NASCAR has agreed to cooperate, so Ross will be able to use the circuit's tracks and footage of actual races and drivers, as well as shoot scenes during races.

The NASCAR drama will focus on an up-and-coming driver who scratches his way into the circuit and develops a mentor/rival relationship with the driver he grew up idolizing. The dynamic is made more complex because the vet racer's son drives for his father's team.

A production date has not been set.

yea, I used to hack-e-sack(here we go)RELIGIOUSLY back in junior high, like that would be a saturday night thing.. go to parking lot somewhere, everyone would just show up like they have internal radar or something, you'd see everyone there, random hoodlems, hookers, hockey players, hermaphrodites, gumby, hustlers, hierarchists, and thats just to name the people who categorize themselves with a word that starts with the letter H! hell even mr. prince himself showed up one night.. yep, those were the good ole days

haha when ya put it that way PL it does sound good. like in shes all that when fredie prince jr kicked it around on stage for about 37 seconds, omg amazing! i rewound that sh*t 86 times! i didnt have a hack-e so i just picked up the neigbors c*cker spaniel and attempted to reenact the scene. not a good idea. dogs tend to flail a bit while youre trying to repeatedly kick them in the air so they wont touch the ground
