Woody Harrelson will play John McCain's campaign leader in Game Change
Just yesterday we reported Ed Harris will play Arizona Senator and 2008 Presidential candidate John McCain in the political drama. Woody Harrelson will play Steve Schmidt, John McCain's top campaign strategist. Julianne Moore has already been cast as John McCain's controversial running mate, Sarah Palin.
Jay Roach will direct Game Change from a script by Danny Strong. Both the writer and director collaborated on the political drama Recount in 2008. The TV movie is adapted from the book of the same name by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. The story will follow the John McCain 2008 Presidential campaign, from his selection of Sarah Palin to their ultimate defeat.
Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman will executive produce for Playtone. It isn't known when production will start on Game Change yet.

great cast... however the cast demonstrates APTLY what to expect of this flick. will it be a Left-leaning portrayal of the Right? um... yes - FAR LEFT of the MODERATE RIGHT.
Harris, Moore and (OF COURSE) Harrelson are three of the biggest LEFT-leaning actors in the biz... especially Moore and Harrison.
