A G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation crew member passes away on the set
Mike Huber, a local New Orleans resident, was tearing down a set yesterday, while using a scissor-lift. The scissor-lift somehow tipped over, and Mike Huber sustained fatal injuries. Here's the statement Paramount Pictures released after the on-set fatality.
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the [crew member's] family at this time. The safety of our cast and crew is our top priority and the studio is fully cooperating with all investigating agencies as they examine the circumstances surrounding this unusual accident."
It isn't known if production will be delayed due to this unfortunate turn of events. G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation is scheduled for release July 29, 2012.
G.I. Joe Retaliation was released March 28th, 2013 and stars Dwayne Johnson, Jonathan Pryce, Byung-hun Lee, Elodie Yung, Ray Stevenson, D.J. Cotrona, Adrianne Palicki, Channing Tatum. The film is directed by Jon M. Chu.

This is crazy. Can't they do regular checks on set to see if there are any dangerous hazards? Seems to me that people don't value the lives of their co-workers that much.
