FX Likes The League and Louie
FX picked up The League for six episodes. For Louie they ordered thirteen. The president of FX networks, John Landgraf, said that these two shows now give the station "the largest slate of original scripted comedy and drama series of any basic" cable company."
"Our brand is about audaciousness and innovation, and those adjectives are equally applicable to drama and comedy series," Landgraf stated.
The League is a semi-improv show that looks at the lives of a bunch of college buddies, and fantasy football league contestants, as the vagaries and responsibilities of life start to rear their ugly heads. The cast includes Mark Duplass, Steve Rannazzisi, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer and Jon Lajoie.
Louie is actually based on the comic's life. It will blend his life onstage with his life off of it. Louis CK is the executive producer, writer and helmer of the show.
The League will debut during football season. Louie is expected to come out in 2010.

Sounds good. F/X is hit or miss, but every thing usually turns out at least watchable, so I'll check these out. Give me something to do when Sunny's not on.
