When he says, "No. Just me." He sounds like Rorschach. Everything else is he says sounds slightly different if you listen to it closely. Especially the end laugh which is a bigger deal to me.

Looks ok. Will not be what the original was. But I have to say, Robert's Freddy was more; expressionate with his face. I think they did the make up wrong on the new one, or he is extremly ridged in his apporach. I only hope Robert is Freddy in the rumored Freddy Vs Jason 2 and not the new guy.

Looks pretty faithful, and less camp which I don't mind. It also, as Insert and others pointed out, has a few original things going for it. Hell, I actually really liked this trailer. Not "scary" per se, but fun and entertaining, and will probably contain a few screams in the theatre. Definitly not a bad idea to bring a girl to it.
The original was crazy scary, and I don't think this will be on the same bar of that one, lets face it, the first was just way to original and freaky low budget type. But I am not close minded. They are retelling the story for a more modern audience which I can understand and this will probably be pretty decent or with JEH's performance, even very good. So I will watch this for sure, if for nothing more than curiosity and intrigue. My guilty side says: Hell yes.

holy crap this has potential... i mean i knew jakie was gonna do a phenomenal job as kruger but besides him...it actually looks like a horror movie and not like those other sequals like freddy's dead which was just comedy's with like 1 cool death that everyone talks about til this day...surely we all want this 2 be left alone for classic purposes but i think they deserve a chance, at least its not like one of those big gigantic action movies we all look forward to, waste 10-16 bucks and then its just crap. To sum this up...this doesnt look half bad, at least they kept it serious and not torture it to death with b.s comedy like chucky. just saying

Hollywood is systematically killing off all the "legends of horror" with these remakes 1. Friday the 13th 2. Halloween 3. Nightmare on Elm Street. The studios have to create new characters invest the money and the time into character and story development not just rewrites and reboots

I have heard that Haley has stated that he does not intend to have Englund's performances influence his own. Haley states that he uses the frustration of having to sit in the make-up chair for three and a half hours as his motivation to get into character...... WHAT CRAP!!!

ROFL!!!! I saw the "Orginial" in theaters as a kid in the 80's ...I will wait for Redbox for $1.00 rental...
......What is funny is that Paramount head executive Brad Grey blamed the recent economic downturn as the main decision behind the delayed release date "Shutter Island" ....but than Hollywood can come up with the money $$$ to re-make/re-boot a cult/horror film ..and urn it into crap!

im sorry but its just not doing it for me, the voice and the face i dont see what is so scary, id beat the sh*t out this guy if he came after me in my dreams, its called dream control look it up, the only thing i like is the younger cast, nice to see the Chinese or oriental kid from friday the 13th is gonna get whacked in this one to, nothing against him just think its kinda funny he gets killed by two horror icons.
