Fringe renewed for another season
Fox shifted the series to Fridays in January, where it has been winning its timeslot.
Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson star in Fringe, which is exec produced by J.J. Abrams, and centers around a female FBI agent who is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena.

Just started watching this show. Got the Season One DVD and blown away. I'm normally not too much of a fan of network TV, but "Fringe" has me hooked....great writing, performances and production value. A treat on every level.

@Mutant you won't like him in season 1. And if you already don't like Jackson, you might not want to continue. But from season 2 and on, his character is a lot more likable.

While show is cool and love the cast, John Noble brings the show to the next level. If something happens to his character well that pretty much wraps it up. Sorry.

It's not just about him, its a rip off of the X-files to suite today's needs which is another aspect of it. I'm sure its excellent it's just two universes is way too much to handle.
It's like when on Lost they moved the island, I just couldn't by into that train of thought

I do like deep and meaningful mythology but I don't like Jackson, the main reason I won't watch it.

If you enjoy shows with a deep and meaningful mythology, Fringe will not disappoint.

@ahraman Actually, the move to Fridays has probably been the best thing for the show because it's such a non-competitive night that they don't expect as much from it. But Fringe, like Community, has a small yet loyal fanbase, and it seems networks are becoming ok with supporting shows like that.

@ Equialuv---The alternate universe adds so much to the show. It's allowed the reasoning of why such strange things are happening to grow and have a purpose. Anyway, HELL YES!! This is my favorite show on TV by far. It's about time Fox gave the official word on the renewal.

Fantastic news. Fringe is, without a doubt, one of the best shows on tv. This season has been something else. I absolutely love this show.
The characters, acting, mythology... everything is awesome. If any show comes close to the awesomeness of 'Lost' its Fringe. It has the potential to become much more popular but Fox need to get it off Fridays for the next season, or it will more than likely be the last.
Long live Fringe!
