Fright Night Trailer!
DreamWorks Pictures has unleashed the first trailer for director Craig Gillespie's remake of the 1985 cult thriller Fright Night. Anton Yelchin stars as Charlie, a high school student living with his single mother who comes to suspect that his next-door neighbor (Colin Farrell) is actual a vampire. Check out the trailer below, which is suspiciously missing any footage of David Tennant as the magician-turned-vampire hunter Peter Vincent.

Fright Night was released August 19th, 2011 and stars Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, David Tennant, Imogen Poots, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Dave Franco, Reid Ewing. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie.

I mean its not a remake in the sense they are going to make it so different it will not ressemble the orignial. Look at Peter Vincent being a Chris Angel bite off, Charlie doesnt look like a nerd boy, The vampire next door is an idiot who kills people in town instead instead of transients and hookers who will not be missed.

I vaguely remember the original from childhood. Colin Farrel is a weird dude but a good actor. Don't know about the kid. He's was okay in Star Trek but I can't relate to squirmy, nerdy dudes like him and Jesse Eisenberg. It's looks like Disturbia with vampires. I'll rent it for Farrel.

David Tennant IS in this trailer! He's at 2:03! It's only for a second, but he's there nontheless. Can't wait!

As of now, I have not seen the remake (Netflix took it off streaming before I had a chance) but this does look like a good attempt.
But really, I'll be seeing it for David Tennant...like every other "Doctor Who" fan.

@thedude1 i see where your coming from, this has a very generic feel to it so i cant blame you for feeling that way.
And @bryanyentz the main kid may not be as good as the original and lets not forget the awesome "best friend" Evil (who eventualy went into gay porn) who is played by christopher mintz-plasse (which i think is realy an awful choice).
I am taking the wait and see approach to this one.

Compering this to the old movie, id say the old1 was WAY BETTER, however... this1 is very updated and more modern for today's world.Anybody who grew up in the 80s would know what i mean by that. Lets not to say that this1 looks stupid in any way, it looks good diff and very org. but u know what they say.. NOTHING BEATS THE 1ST.

I haven't seen the original in years but from what I can remember it had goofy sense of humor to it.

Hmm... Not sure about this one. Can't stand the lead kid and the tone seems completely different. Already heard of one truly negative review from an early screening.
